To become a first-class supplier of textile raw materials and yarns in China and even in the world.
The Sino-US Geneva Economic and Trade Talks Joint Statement released on May 12, 2025, states that both China and the United States have agreed to reduce reciprocal tariff rates in phases. The U.S. will eliminate 91% of the tariffs imposed under the executive orders of April 8 and 9, modify 34% of the "reciprocal tariffs" in the April 2 executive order, suspend 24% of the tariffs for 90 days, and retain the remaining 10%. China will correspondingly eliminate 91% of its countermeasures tariffs, suspend 24% of its countermeasures tariffs for 90 days, and pause or remove non-tariff countermeasures. The agreement takes effect on May 14 and has brought some confidence to China's textile and apparel industry. With reduced export costs and enhanced price competitiveness, China's textile and apparel exports are expected to see a significant increase in orders to the U.S. over the next 90 days.
Statements on Supply Chains: U.S. Treasury Secretary Bethany recently made it clear that the U.S. has no intention of "decoupling" from China in the textile sector, emphasizing that the integrity of supply chains is crucial to both sides.
